List of Patient Conditions

The following is a list of conditions that can be released regarding patients who are in our facility directory.

  • Undetermined: Patient's condition is being  assessed. Medical staff has not assigned a condition.  
  • Good: Vital signs such as pulse, temperature and blood pressure are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious and comfortable. Outlook for recovery is good or excellent.  
  • Fair: Vital signs are stable and within normal limits. Patient is conscious but may be uncomfortable or have minor complications. Favorable outlook.  
  • Serious: Vital signs may be unstable and not within normal limits. Patient is acutely ill. There is a chance for improved outlook.  
  • Critical: Vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits. Patient may not be conscious. Questionable outlook.   
  • Treated and Released: Patient received treatment but was not admitted.
  • "Stable" is not a patient condition as it may apply to several conditions.

Kohl’s Department Store Donates Funds to Safe Kids Program
Cheyenne, WY--Kohl's Department Store, through the Kohl's Cares® cause merchandise program, has donated more than $18,000 to the Safe Kids Wyoming and Kohl’s Car Seat Distribution Program. The check presentation took place last month during the booster seat checkup event held at the local Kohl’s store, where the donations were collected.  Safe Kids Wyoming is administered through Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Injury Prevention Dept. 

Dr. John Lucas Receives Regent’s Award
Cheyenne, Wyo.-Dr. John Lucas, CEO, was recently presented with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award. Dr. Lucas is an ACHE affiliate.

Cheyenne, WY – Cheyenne Regional Medical Center recently started Tender Care, a program to educate and inform expectant and new parents about the birth process and infant care.

Artwork Brightens Endoscopy Lab
Cheyenne, WY-Chet Fishgrab, a former patient at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, has donated 18 landscape oil and acrylic paintings to the hospital. The paintings are on display in the Endoscopy Lab for the enjoyment of patients recovering from procedures there.

Cheyenne, WY – Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has received official notice from the Joint Commission that the hospital passed its recent accreditation survey.



Hospital Art Show Features Patients’ Work
Cheyenne, Wyo.—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center will host an art show featuring paintings created as part of the hospital’s Behavioral Health Services (BHS) art therapy program 2-5 p.m. on May 25, in the hospital’s main auditorium. The display is free and open to the public.

Cheyenne, Wyo.—An estimated 1,200 to 1,400 children are injured or killed by shaking every year in the United States, according to the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS). In the United States, more than 300 babies die each year from being shaken.

Cheyenne-Wyo. – The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted three-year accreditation with commendation to the Cancer Program at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. In addition, Cheyenne Regional received no deficiencies. 



Precautions Must Be Taken During Frigid Cold Weather
Cheyenne, Wyo.—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center officials recommend that people who must go outdoors dress in several layers of warm clothing. Parents should take special precautions to make sure their children are dressed appropriately when they are outside. 

Tobacco-Free for Baby and Me: Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Funds New Tobacco Cessation Program for Pregnant Women
Cheyenne, Wyo.—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has awarded an $85,000 grant to fund a new county-wide program to help pregnant women and their family members quit smoking and other tobacco use. 

Yellowstone Surgery Center Receives AAAHC Accreditation
 Cheyenne-Wyo. – Yellowstone Surgery Center has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC/Accreditation Association). Accreditation distinguishes this surgical center from many other outpatient surgical facilities by providing a safe work environment and the highest quality of care to its patients.

Cheyenne, WY-Each day in the United States, 30 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer. If you haven’t had a cervical exam in the past year, now is the time. Funds are available for women who need assistance.
